製品概要

サイレント・ステージでレコーディングを行ったアンサンブルの中で最大となるのが、このバイオリン・セクションです。14人編成のバイオリンを指揮したのはChristian Eisenberger氏であり、Claudio Abbado、Martha Argerich、Nikolaus Harnoncourt、Herbert von Karajan、Gidon Kremer、Kent Nagano、Roger Norrington、Murray Perahia、Andras Schiff、Georg Solti 達とのコラボレーションを行うなど、国際的なコンサートワークでも高く評価されている人物です。一方、10人編成のヴィオラを指揮したのは Anett Homoki氏であり、かのウィーン・フォルクスオーパー、ウイーン室内管弦楽団のメンバーの一人です。

VIENNA INSTRUMENTのストリングス・セクションでは、非常に豊富なアーティキュレーションを収録しています。また、多彩なパフォーマンス・プログラムにより、究極のクオリティを持つインストゥルメントとなっています。大規模なアンサンブルにおいては、"パフォーマンス・トリル"や"高速レガート奏法"といったアーティキュレーションにおいて「ランダムエフェクト」が特に取り入れられており、これらのパフォーマンス・プログラムがVIENNA INSTRUMENTの持つ新しいパフォーマンス・アルゴリズムと融合する事によって、かつてない自然な響きを提供します。つまり、アンサンブルが大きくなるほどランダムエフェクトもより加算されてゆき、これが1つの音から次の音へと移り行くときの奏者の自然な "不確実さ（揺らぎ）" を作り出すのです。このエフェクトは "リピティション・パフォーマンス・ピチカート" において顕著に現れ、大人数編成ストリング・アンサンプルに対してのみ、異なる2つのテンポで収録されています。

更に本ライブラリでは、ユーザーからの要望が非常に多かった短いスタッカート、表現豊かなインターバル・レガート、エスプレッシーヴォ・コン・ソルディーノ、サステインやスタッカートにおける音域の拡大などをカバーしています。
